Summary: This 1965 Airline Bobkat in a lovely Gold finish has the gravitas and patina that drives the crowds wild. Rare gold finish, hardtail and a beautiful Dearmond goldfoil set this machine apart.

 

Body: Wood body in Gold finish.


Neck: Wood with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.5” scale length, 1.75” nut width,  20 frets, pearl dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware:  Original Dearmond Diamond case goldfoil pickup, 6 in line white button tuning keys, wooden bridge, white bucket style knobs, white plastic nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck has some wear that doesn’t affect playability, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
