Summary: In 1958 Gretsch marked the 75th anniversary of the company's founding with a pair of special Anniversary model guitars. These were offered in one- and two-pickup versions that have since been nicknamed as the Single Anniversary and Double Anniversary models. This Anniversary Model’s serial number dates it to 1957. It has seen some changes and modifications. A Patent No. Sticker humbucker has been added, the pickguard has been removed and a new bridge has been installed. It has wear that is common with Gretsch’s from this period such as binding rot and a neck reset.

Body: Laminated Maple top/back/sides.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, thumbnail inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Pat. No. Sticker humbucker, master volume/3-way tone selector, open gear tuning keys, floating bridge, “G” tailpiece.

Cosmetics: This guitar has various nicks, dings, and scuffs throughout. It has binding rot and normal discoloration on the rest of the binding. The frets are low with some life left. There is a good bit of finish checking and the pickguard holes are visible.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The original pickup has been removed and replaced with a Gibson patent number pickup. The bridge has been replaced and the pickguard has been removed. The neck appears to have been reset at some point.

Weight: 6.72 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships without a case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
