2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard

Summary: This is a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard with the Original Gibson hardshell case.

Body:  Solid-body electric guitar with a mahogany body & a beautiful flame maple top. The top of this instrument is fully bound with a classic cream binding.

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard & block inlays. This Gibson has a slim-taper 1960’s neck. This instrument comes with replacement Grover tuning keys. The first 3 frets do have some divots showing for the G, B & high E string but the frets still have some life left in them the intonation is not impacted. The nut width is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 24.75”.

Pickups/Hardware: This Gibson has a PAF Alnico 5 (#1) in the neck & a PAF Alnico 5 (#2) in the bridge position.  This guitar has 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs & a 3-way selector switch. This Gibson has chrome hardware.

Cosmetics: This guitar has been played and loved and it shows, especially on the back. There is a good amount of buckle scratch & various dings & dents on the back of the guitar – in the center of the back it is worn down to the wood.  The top of the guitar looks great from a distance but once you get to hold it in your hands you will see small dings and a pick scratches. Structurally this instrument is solid as a rock, but it does show a good amount of cosmetic wear.

Modifications: The original Kluson style tuning keys have been replaced with Grovers.

Playability: This instrument plays great – the action is low & the guitar plays with no dead spots or buzzing. This guitar was set up with 10’s by our in-house guitar tech.

Weight:   9 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: Original Hardshell Gibson Case.
