2006 Fender Eric Johnson Signature Strat

Summary: Any guitarist who marvels at the breathtaking sonic artistry and peerlessly pure tone of Texas Strat® virtuoso Eric Johnson will also marvel at the Eric Johnson Stratocaster Maple guitar. Johnson is famously meticulous in crafting his tone, and every facet of the guitar is designed to Johnson’s own detailed specs, from the specially voiced pickups to the extra-contoured neck and body to the distinctive tremolo assembly and much more. A refined signature model honoring one of modern music’s finest Strat masters.

Body: Light two-piece alder body with deep 1957-style body contours and cavities

Neck: One-piece vintage-tint quarter sawn maple neck (contours sanded very smooth) with ’57-style “soft V” contour and a maple fingerboard. This instrument has a 12”-radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, a nut width of 1 5/8” and a scale length of 25.5”.

Pickups/Hardware: Specially voiced Eric Johnson single-coil pickups with countersunk screws and five-way switching. This instrument has chrome hardware and vintage style staggered tuning keys. The EJ Strat has a Vintage-style tremolo with silver-painted block,’57-style string recess, no paint between base plate and block.

Cosmetics:  Overall this instrument is in great condition – the frets have a ton of life left in them and there are not a lot of dings or nicks in the guitar. The back of the guitar does have a vibrato cavity cover added (originally it came with no screw holes & no back plate). There are various small nicks, dings & scuffs and some wear around the neck pocket.

Playability:  This EJ Stratocaster plays great! This instrument plays with no buzzing & no dead spots & it has been professionally set up by our in-house tech with 10’s.

Mods/Repairs:  The original owner put a back tremolo cover on this guitar and there are holes drilled for the tremolo back-plate cover – it appears that they tried to drill holes once and refilled the holes because they didn’t have the plate in the right place, and then re-drilled the holes in the right place. This EJ strat only has 3 tremolo springs.

Weight:  7 lbs,   11 oz.

Case: No case but this guitar will be shipped in a gig bag….
