2015 D'Angelico EXL-1

Summary:  The EXL-1 has been revived with all the quality expected from D’Angelico. This single-cutaway archtop features a signature D’Angelico stairstep tailpiece along with a floating pickup and hard maple neck. The EXL-1 is a pure classic reborn into the 21st century. This guitar comes with the original hardshell case and a new set of D’Addario Chromes flat-wound strings.

Body: Single cutaway hollow body electric guitar with a spruce top & flame maple back & sides.

Neck:  2-piece maple/walnut neck with a slim-C neck shape, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, block inlays and medium jumbo frets. The frets are in great shape & have a ton of life left in them. The scale length is 25.5” and the nut width is 1.687”.

Pickups/Hardware: Single pickup with one volume and one tone knob, gold hardware, Grover tuning machines, floating rosewood bridge & a D’Angelico stair-step tailpiece.

Cosmetics:  This D’Angelico is in really great shape – I did find some light pick scratches on the pickguard & a few small scratches on the back but you would have to search for any imperfections by holding the guitar up to the lights! Overall this baby is in fantastic shape.

Playability: This jazz-box plays great. The action is low & the guitar plays with no buzzing or dead spots. We set this guitar up with D’Addario Chromes and these flat-wound strings fit this guitar perfect.
