Summary: This 2003 Martin D-41, inlaid in stunning abalone pearl and appointed with gold tuners, it's more than a Dreadnought: it's an heirloom. Premium East Indian rosewood and spruce combined with hand-carved scalloped bracing to produce rich, powerful, complex tone.

 

Body: Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back and sides in a Natural finish.


Neck:  Mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, 25.4” scale length 1.75” nut width, 20 frets,  reduced hexagon Abalone inlays.

 

Hardware: Butterbean Gold Open Gear tuning keys, Ebony bridge,  bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, and light dings, both only seen in reflection. The back of the neck has a few light dings, which do not affect playability, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
