Hofner Contemporary HCT-500/1 Beatle Bass

Summary: This Hofner Contemporary HCT-500/1 Beatle bass gives you the classic Hofner sound, style, and playability that formed one of the cornerstones of rock music. You get a spruce-topped semi-hollow flame-maple body with a 3-piece maple and beech neck for a magnificent balance of resonance and sustain. A pair of Hofner Staple humbuckers split the difference between a woody acoustic tone and a warm and rounded sound. 

Body: Spruce top with flame Maple back and sides in Sunburst finish.

Neck:  3-piece Maple/Beech/Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 30” scale length, 1.62” nut width,  22 frets, dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Dual Hofner Staple pickups, Nickel tuning keys, Ebony bridge with trapeze tailpiece, teacup knobs, plastic nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has the lightest wear on the body that a used guitar can have. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
