Summary: A twist on the classic American Standard, the Fender American Special Stratocaster swaps in hotter Texas Special pickups, the Greasebucket tone circuit, a flatter neck radius and a vintage spec tremolo - all at a lower price point than the rest of the American Fender line. This Special Stratocaster is from 2009 and it has a classic olympic white finish.

Body: Solid body Stratocaster with an Olympic White finish.

Neck: Modern “C” profile, one-piece maple with large ‘70s style headstock, 22 jumbo frets, 9.5” radius, 1.675” nut width, 25.5” scale length, white dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Three Fender Texas Special Single Coils, master volume/two tone controls, Greasebucket tone circuit, Fender tuning keys, 5-way pickup selector, 6-saddle bridge.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has very light surface scratches on the back of the body/pickguard/bridge cover. The first few frets have very light wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 9s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
