EVH Wolfgang Special

This EVH Wolfgang Special features a basswood body with an arched top and a robust graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck. Primed for high performance, energetic riffing and blazing leads, the 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays. EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking pickups are mounted directly to the body, providing dynamic yet articulate voicing, as well as endless sustain for powerful chords and melody lines. EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking trem and Floyd Rose locking nut work in tandem for precise tuning even with extreme changes in pitch, while the EVH D-Tuna retunes to drop-D and back with strict accuracy at the flick of a finger. The volume knob with treble bleed circuit has a 500K EVH Bourns low friction pot for smooth swells and a tone control knob with a 250K Bourns high friction tone pot that prevents accidental tone shifting.

Body:  Basswood in Sunburst finish.

Neck:  Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.62” nut width, 22 frets, black dot inlays.

 Pickups/Hardware: Direct mount EVH Wolfgang humbucker pickups, EVH Gotoh tuning keys, EVH Floyd Rose 1000 locking bridge with EVH D-Tuna knob, black plastic knobs, Floyd Rose R2 locking nut (new replacement nut clamps were installed, otherwise it’s stock).

 Cosmetics: This guitar is in good shape. It has surface scratches on the body, scrapes and dents, and a probable cigarette burn on the headstock. The back of the neck is mostly clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
