Summary: This 1980s Fender Stratocaster ST-462 MIJ Hardtail is a reissue of a guitar that never really was. This hardtail version of a 62 Stratocaster has some true vibe. A slightly flatter neck offers a little variation on the absolute classic, and is ready for you to claim it like Excalibur. 

 

Body: Basswood in Sunburst finish.


Neck:  Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.68” nut width, 21 frets, pearl dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: Fender single coil pickups, Gotoh style tuning keys, hardtail bridge,white plastic knobs, bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. This instrument has very honest wear and has dings. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.



Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
