Summary: This 1989 Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster, with its  distinctive soft V-shape neck, Gold Lace Sensor pickups and an updated MDX circuit that had been tweaked up to deliver 25 dB of boost in the midrange at around 500 Hz has become a modern classic for those chasing the distinct Slowhand vibes.

Body: Alder in Torino Red finish.


Neck:  Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.68” nut width, 22 frets, black dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware:  Gold Lace-Sensor pickups with a five-way switch, a master volume pot, a tone pot, and an active/passive blend pot,  Kluson style tuning keys, blocked synchronized tremolo bridge, white plastic knobs, synthetic bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. There are a few dents on the body (pictured)The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
