Summary: The 1959 Les Paul is known in musician circles as the Holy Grail of Guitars. This Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is built from select tonewoods, including a solid mahogany body, a figured maple top, and Indian rosewood fingerboard. Get authentic PAF tones, courtesy of BurstBucker pickups and a handwired harness with paper-in-oil capacitors. This true-to-life re-creation also boasts hide-glue construction, a long neck tenon, and vintage-style Gibson Deluxe tuners. A gorgeous thin VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes this 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue.

Body: Mahogany with a Maple top.

Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 22 frets, pearl trapezoidal inlays. (Measurements: Depth- 1st- .889"/12th- 1.010", Width- 1st-1.691"/12th- 2.052")

Pickups/Hardware: Two BurstBucker pickups, Gibson Deluxe tuning keys, tunomatic bridge/stopbar tailpiece, 2x volume/2x tone controls/3-way pickup selector.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches throughout. The back has light buckle rash that is mainly just light scuffs that do not go into the finish, just light indentations. The back of the neck has a small ding near the 14th fret on the treble side. The headstock has light wear on the edges. The pickguard and the electronics plate have light scratches. The back of the neck is in great shape, and the frets show minimal wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
