Summary: Taylor’s cutaway maple/spruce Grand Concert rich, warm and complex, adding depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a strong bracing profile, a top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and a thin gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance. Together with a hand-friendly short-scale neck, the 612ce sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful appearance.
