1986 Fender AVRI '57 Stratocaster
Summary:
This American Vintage Reissue '57 Stratocaster is in great used
condition, is all original and has just been setup and restrung by
our in-house guitar tech with low action and a new set of 10s. There
is a little bit of wear through the fingerboard finish, some pick
scratches on the top, and few dings on the body but it sounds great
and looks like a vintage Stratocaster with its single ply pickguard
and 2 tone sunburst finish. It ships in its original tweed case with
case candy.
Body: Solid double cutaway with 2 tone sunburst and single ply white guard.
Neck: The maple neck has a C profile, black dots, vintage 7.25 radius, end-of-heel truss rod adjustment, safety post tuners, 25.5” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: It has 3 original single coil strat pickups, 3 way switch, volume, 2 tones, white knobs, single ply pickguard, nickel hardware, safety post tuners, synchronized trem bridge with 6 individual bent steel saddles.
Cosmetics: This Stratocaster is in fine shape for its age and even though it was played quite a bit, it was clearly well kept and never abused. There are some pick scratches on the pickguard, some scuffs and dings on the body, a bit of buckle rash on the back, some wear through the finish on the fingerboard and some fretwear.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets have some wear from use, especially on the first few but it still plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
