Summary: In 1982, the Gibson Les Paul 30th Anniversary gold top appeared, marking the 1952 introduction of the Les Paul. However, the guitar itself is a based on a 1958 model Gold Top. Built between 1982 and 1984, these were the last Les Pauls built at Gibson's historic plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Gibson Les Paul 30th Anniversary Gold Top features reissue 1958 body specs, with a single piece mahogany body and a maple cap, a one-piece mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard with a 30th Anniversary engraving on the 19th fret position marker. As a reproduction of a 1958 model, it has what were then new humbucking pickups. These pickups were designed by Tim Shaw, one of Gibson's engineers, as one of the earliest efforts by Gibson towards reproducing the original PAF design and build.

The bottom the guitar between the strap button and the output jack there is a bigger indentation (See Photos Please). The "G" string tuning key is bent a little but still works properly with no tuning issues. The frets are in great shape, and it plays very well.
