Summary: While made during one of the company's most controversial eras, the Gibson Les Paul Customs of the Norlin Era can be diamond-in-the-rough finds for players with a keen eye. This Les Paul has the growl and the workhorse construction that made these guitars a legend in the first place. Many guitarists and luthiers alike point to the late '70s and early '80s models as capstones of this era.

Body: Fully bound Mahogany (pancake), Maple top, finished in a Cherry Sunburst.

Neck: Mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, width at the 1st fret - 1.7 ", Depth .806", width at at the 12th fret- 2.041", depth - .922", pearl block inlays, fully bound, 22 frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Two original humbuckers, gold hardware, 7.1K neck, 8K bridge, tun-o-matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece, top hat control knobs, 2x volume/2x tone controls/3-way pickup selector, black pickguard/pickup covers/switch ring, Grover tuning keys (non-original).

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has light surface scratches throughout. The pickguard has regular pick wear. The back of the neck is clean smooth, and the frets are in great shape. The hardware ware has started to fade and tarnish a bit. Overall, this guitar is in great shape for an instrument of this age.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The tuning keys have been changed to Grovers. The original tuning keys are included in the case. This guitar also ships with a brown leather strap and cream-colored pickguard, pickup covers, and switch ring.
