Summary: This guitar was part of the trio including the 2459 Destroyer, 2469 Futura, and the 2387 Rocket Roll Sr. The 2387CT was introduced by Ibanez in 1975. It was made in Japan by FujiGen. This model is also known as the Rocket Roll Sr. This model is a copy of the Gibson Korina Flying V. This is a very light guitar made of solid ash. It comes equipped with Super 70's humbuckers and “Star” tuning keys. It is adorned with a gold V-shaped tailpiece, black pickguard, and gold control knobs.

Body: Solid ash (Japanese Sen) with a gloss finish, string-through construction.

Neck: 3-piece Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.71” nut width, 22 frets, dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Super 70's humbuckers, “Star” tuning keys, black pickguard, gold control knobs, black pickup rings, gold V-shaped tailpiece, 2x volume/master tone controls/3-way pickup selector.

Cosmetics: This guitar has a small impression on the top of the body (See Photos Please). The bridge and the tuning keys have started to tarnish a bit. The top and back of the body have small pencil tip size indentations here and there that can be seen in a reflection. The back of the neck is in excellent condition and the frets are in great shape. Overall, this guitar is in great shape and it plays very well.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
