2008 Collings 290

This 2008 Collings 290 is a modern day tribute to the original working person’s rock and roll guitar. A solid mahogany body and neck are complemented by two Lollar Soapbar P90 pickups for a tone that shows off the amazing harmonic range and dynamics of this often underrated configuration.

Body:  Honduran Mahogany in Cherry finish.

Neck:  Honduran Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.8” scale length, 1.68” nut width,  22 frets,  ivoroid inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Lollar Soapbar P90 pickups, Sperzel tuning keys, Kluson ABR-1 bridge and tailpiece, black top hat knobs, bone nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
