2019 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24-08
Summary: The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar, the iconic instrument that started it all back in 1985. The Custom 24-08 keeps all the same specifications as the original Custom with a maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, the PRS patented Gen III tremolo, and dual 85/15 pickups – but adds a new level of versatility with its simple switching system. Featuring mini-toggle coil-split switches, the Custom 24-08 has eight different pickup settings that provide an array of humbucking and singlecoil tones, including a dual singlecoil option unique for this model.
Body: Mahogany with a Maple top.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 24 frets, “Birds” inlays, 10” radius.
Pickups/Hardware: Two 85/15 pickups, Volume and Tone Controls with 3-Way Toggle Pickup Switch and Two Mini-Toggle Coil Split Switches, PRS Gen III bridge, PRS locking tuning keys, master volume & tone controls.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has a couple tiny indentations on the top of the body. It also has a few very small indentations on the back of the body. It has light surface scratches on the back of the body and neck. The frets show minimal wear and the guitar plays fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
