2020 Gibson Custom Shop Wildwood Spec CS-336
Summary: Unlike its ES brethren, the CS-336 sports solid woods, with a premium mahogany body and a solid maple top. Wildwood Custom Bucker pickups capture the sound of these incredible tonewoods, and the result is a punchy guitar with incredible note bloom, a rich midrange, a sweet attack, and a vibe that harkens back to some of our favorite vintage instruments.
Body: Fully bound Solid Maple top with Solid Mahogany back/sides.
Neck: Fully bound Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.687” nut width, 22 frets, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Wildwood Custom Buckers, tun-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, chrome Kluson Revolution Series closed gear tuning keys, two volume/two tone controls/3-way pickup selector, black 5-ply pickguard, black pickup covers.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has light surface scratches on the top and back of the body. It has a scuff on the back that is just a light surface scratch that can be seen in a reflection. The back of the neck is clean and smooth, and the frets are in great shape.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: Two of the control knobs have been swapped out for speed knobs with removable rubber piece.
