Summary: This Hagstrom Pat Smear Signature model excels like Pat does,  from the early years as a founding member of the seminal punk band The Germs, to Nirvana, and on to his current role laying down colossal riffs for the Foo Fighters.. Elegant, clean tones meet highly saturated distortion with ease. This instrument is identical to the one Pat plays night after night on some of the largest stages in the world.

Body: Mahogany with carved Maple top in Black Gloss.

Neck: Mahogany with a Resinator fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 22 frets,  pearl block inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Hagstrom Custom 58 AlNiCo pickups, Hagstrom tuning keys, Long Travel Tune-O-Matic Roller Bridge & Hagstrom Stop Tailpiece with Brass String Blocks, knobs, Black tusq XL nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has the lightest buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
