2016 Ibanez Steve Vai Signature JEMJR
Summary: Steve Vai's signature guitars have become almost as iconic as the player himself, and now that mojo is more attainable than ever with the Ibanez JEM JR. Steve Vai Signature solidbody electric guitar. From the acrylic vine inlay to the instantly recognizable "monkey grip" handle, there's no doubt where the JEM JR. Steve Vai Signature came from. For tonal tenacity, you get two Quantum humbuckers and one Quantum single-coil pickup complete with five-way switching and an Ibanez double locking tremolo system.
Body: Meranti finished in a white gloss polyurethane.
Neck: Maple with a rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.693” nut width, 24 jumbo frets, 15.7” radius, “Wizard III” shape, locking nut.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Quantum humbuckers/One Quantum single coils, master volume, master tone, 5-way blade pickup switch, Ibanez double locking tremolo system, Cosmo black tuning keys.
Cosmetics: This guitar has regular pick wear on the pickguard. There are a few pencil tip size dents on the top of the body that can only be seen in a reflection. The back of the body has one small scuff. The back of the neck has a few small scuffs near the 5th fret. The frets are still in great shape. Overall, this guitar is in great shape and plays fast. This guitar does not have the original tremolo arm.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
