Summary: This 2010 Gibson SG Classic is a revival of the late 1960's Gibson SG Special, used by many rockers including Pete Townsend, Carlos Santana and Robby Kreiger of The Doors. Featuring an oversize 'Batwing' pickguard and a pair of P-90's, the SG Classic is an improved version with tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece.

 

Body: Mahogany in Cherry finish.


Neck:  Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard,  24.75” scale length,  1.68” nut width,  22 frets,  pearl dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: Dual P-90 pickups, Kluson Deluxe tuning keys,  tune-o-matic bridge, black witch hat knobs,  bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, as well as a few dents, and wear around the lower horn.. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.



Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
